Ceasefire Negotiations Advance in Doha as Mediators Report Narrowing Differences

DOHA — Multilateral negotiations aimed at securing an enduring humanitarian cessation of hostilities in Gaza achieved measurable traction on Thursday, according to regional mediators involved in direct consultative rounds.

The proposed roadmap outlines three phased intervals:

  • Phase I: An immediate 45-day cessation of combat operations paired with verified delivery of 600 humanitarian trucks daily.
  • Phase II: Structured releases of civilian detainees monitored by neutral humanitarian delegates.
  • Phase III: Comprehensive reconstruction planning overseen by an international consortium.

"While significant technical modalities remain under deliberation, both parties have engaged with constructive pragmatism not witnessed in previous sessions," a senior diplomatic source confirmed.

Humanitarian relief agencies on the ground stressed that winterization supplies and potable water infrastructure repair cannot withstand further bureaucratic delay.
